All our Key Stage 2 classes ran in the cross country event at Moreton Park today against six other schools and with considerable success!
We had plenty of medal winners with two runners coming first (Emily and Louise), three coming second (Zac, Tigerlily and Finley) and four coming third (Ava, Leo, Bea and Oliver)/ Not only that, Year 3 and Year 5 won trophies for best boys and girls combined teams and Year 4 and Year 6 teams came second.
Lots of mud, lots of smiles and lots to be proud of. Well done all runners for taking part and staff and parents for supporting the children.
To protect children with peanut allergies, please remember to check that snacks you send to school don’t include peanuts.
Thank you.

Whilst we appeared to escape most of the weather today there is a red/amber weather warning for the South West overnight and into Friday morning.
As a result, we would rather err on the side of caution and have decided to keep the school closed on Friday 2nd March. We hope to reopen on Monday, so please monitor this website over the weekend for updates.
Thank you for your understanding and we hope to see you all Monday morning.
Due to the expected severe weather and cirucmstances we have just been made aware of the decision has been made to close the school on Thursday 1st March. We will make a decision about Friday before 4pm on Thursday, so please continue to monitor this website for any updates.
Apologies for the late notice and we will arrange another day for the children to wear their World Book Day costumes.
Where is the best place to find out if the school is OPEN or CLOSED?
This website. If the decision to close the school is made we will immediately post it in the News section of this website. This website will have the most up-to-date information so please monitor it.
How else can I find out if the school is CLOSED?
Once we have posted on the website we will notify as soon as possible BBC Devon who broadcast every 15 minutes the list of school closures. We will also send out a text message to the first name on a child’s contact list that we hold as soon as possible, but please do monitor the website regularly because that will be the most up-to-date.
Regarding Thursday 1st March, at present we are planning to open the school. We will continue to monitor the weather before Thursday and of course during Thursday.
School is open today and we will continue to monitor the forecast for the rest of the week.
We will continue to monitor weather developments and inform you should we see fit to close the school over the coming week.
Please monitor this website and we will send out a text if there is a school closure.
A slight change this year with books being supplied by Walter Henry’s Bookshop. The range will be smaller and we have tried to match the books more closely to the children’s interests. The books will be available to brouse and buy after school in the main school buidling.
On Thursday 1st March, we will be celebrating World Book Day. Children may come to school dressed as a character from a children’s book for a £1 donation to raise money for new books for our school library. Throughout the day, the children will be completing activities related to reading and will be sharing lots of books.
At the end of the day, the children will be given a £1 World Book Day token which can be exchanged for a book at many bookshops or can be used to get money off any book …. a great excuse to read something new! For more information about World Book Day, please visit: www.worldbookday.com
